wideopen2.com is a personal, independent blog of NBA statistics. Each article shows the numbers behind a claim, most of them first made in the Layup YouTube channel's videos.

Who writes it

The site is written and published by one person, under the name layup, from Portugal.

Corrections

If a number, a source or a claim is wrong, write in with the article link and what is wrong. Confirmed errors are fixed promptly, and any change that affects a conclusion is added to the article as a dated update rather than edited away silently. If an article names you and you want to reply, the same address works.

Photos

Photos come from open licences (such as Creative Commons), the public domain, or their owners' permission. Each one is credited under it on its article page, with its author, source and licence where known.

Photos are served unedited: the image service only resizes them and converts their format. The grayscale look, the orange highlight and the cropping to fit a frame are display effects applied by your browser, and credits note the grayscale.

If you are the photographer or rights holder and want a credit corrected or a photo removed, write to [email protected] with the article link. The photo is taken down within 24 hours of your request, without dispute.

Where the numbers come from

Statistics come from public sources, chiefly NBA.com and Basketball-Reference.com, credited with the tables built from them. They are compiled by hand and by script and can contain errors; see Corrections.

Independence

wideopen2.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the NBA or any of its teams. Team and league names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify them. The site carries no ads and no sponsored content, and has nothing to do with betting.
